Quarterly Program Course Introduction

The regular program consists of group classes ranging from beginner to advanced levels. The program is divided into 14 levels to meet the learning needs of students with different levels of Chinese proficiency.

All courses are conducted in Chinese, with Hanyu Pinyin provided to indicate pronunciation. This helps learners establish a solid foundation in pronunciation and gradually apply Chinese effectively in everyday life and professional communication.

In addition to regular classes, the Center periodically organizes cultural experience activities and off-campus visits, allowing students to explore Taiwanese culture and daily life beyond the classroom.

Course Features

• Professional Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL) courses with a well-structured and comprehensive curriculum.
• All instructors meet the Ministry of Education's qualifications for teachers of Chinese as a second language.
• Emphasis on practical language training while promoting cross-cultural exchange and understanding.
• Developing international students' ability to effectively use Chinese in daily life and interpersonal communication.
• One-on-one academic consultation is available each quarter by appointment.

Course Levels and Textbooks

The program is divided into 14 levels according to students' proficiency. Each level uses appropriate textbooks to progressively develop Chinese language skills.

Class Schedule

• The program operates on a four-quarter system. Each quarter lasts 11 weeks, with 15 hours of classes per week.
• Morning and afternoon classes are available from Monday to Friday.
• Morning Class: 09:00–12:00
• Afternoon Class: 13:30–16:30
• The Center can assist students in providing relevant admission documents for applying for a visa to study Chinese.

Tuition Fees

Important Information

1. The courses emphasize four language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—to comprehensively improve students' Chinese proficiency.
2. Students must take a placement test before enrollment to determine the appropriate class. At the end of each quarter, students must pass the final examination with a score of 60 or above in order to advance to the next level.
3. Students who accumulate 30 hours of absence will receive a warning notice. Students who accumulate 55 hours of absence will be withdrawn from the program according to regulations.
4. Refund Policy
   • Refunds apply to tuition only. Registration and insurance fees are non-refundable.
   • If a refund is requested after payment but no later than one day before the start of classes, 90% of the tuition fee will be refunded.
   • If the number of class hours attended has not exceeded one-third of the quarter, 50% of the tuition fee will be refunded.
   • No refund will be provided once the number of class hours attended exceeds one-third of the quarter.
5. Textbook Purchase Service

   The Center provides a textbook purchase service. Registered students can purchase textbooks at 90% of the original price. Depending on the textbook, prices range from approximately NT$620 to NT$900.
