Work Permit Application
According to regulations of the Ministry of Labor, students holding a Chinese language study visa may apply online for a work permit through the Ministry of Labor system after completing 6 months of study and obtaining a valid Alien Resident Certificate (ARC).

After approval, the maximum permitted working hours are 20 hours per week.
Important Notes
- The work permit is only valid during the approved period stated on the permit. Chinese language students are responsible for checking the expiration date and applying for an extension in advance.
- Working during the period when the work permit has expired is considered illegal employment. Violations may result in administrative fines, affect ARC extension eligibility, and may even lead to mandatory departure from Taiwan.
