History and Development

The Chinese Language Center of Chihlee University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as "the Center") was established in 2023, with its core mission being to provide Chinese language education for international students.
In its early years, the Center was established as a secondary-level unit under the College of Commerce and Foreign Languages. Its establishment was driven by the needs and trends of internationalized education, as well as the government's policies promoting Chinese language education overseas. The Center actively promotes the Chinese language and Chinese culture while fostering international educational and cultural exchange.
To further enhance the Center's functions and effectively integrate the university's international student recruitment resources, Chihlee University of Technology adjusted the organizational positioning of the Chinese Language Center in the 2025 academic year, placing it under the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs.
Moving forward, the Center will continue to promote the Chinese language and Chinese culture while optimizing the planning and implementation of international student recruitment. By strengthening overseas partnerships and promoting diverse international cooperation and exchange, the Center will serve as an important hub for the university's international connections, comprehensively enhancing the university's international visibility and brand reputation.
